Well it’s peak wedding season right now and we’ve been busy, busy, busy! We’re seeing some fab trends over these summer months and I want to share with you some of my personal faves.
The Royal Effect It's no surprise that the wedding of the year has influenced many wedding trends and flowers are no exception. While we may not all be able to waltz up the aisle bedecked in royal jewels with our very own prince charming waiting for us at the alter, there are still plenty of tiaras and floral crowns popping up all over the place. Who can forget the oodles of white roses in the church with more greenery than an arboretum! We absolutely loved this approach. Over the top ceremony flowers with a simple hand-held posey. Sophisticated, elegant and not gentle on the budget, but oh ... swoon!!!

A Riot of Dahlias Luscious layers created with the same flower in a multitude of different colours are totally in, and we’re seeing beautiful dahlias bring this to life spectacularly. These gorgeous flowers are in full bloom right now and there are so many colours to choose from that the possibilities are endless. We’ve seen several brides and grooms multi-task these versatile blooms by using them in table arrangements, installations, bouquets and corsages. Dahlias are amazing when you want to add texture, colour and depth to your wedding flowers. We love the passionate vibe that this flexible bloom is bringing to lots of summer weddings this year.
Ranunculus & Roses It’s definitely all about the texture this summer. This time with the same colours but different flowers. All white ranunculus & roses scream romance and are a massive favourite this year. Elegant bouquets of r & r's complemented with subtle green foliage are being seen gracing all the very best aisles in the country.
Other amazing trends that have been popping up this summer include ostrich feather centerpieces for a sophisticated 1920’s theme, lots of gypsophila bouquets and the boho beautiful rustic look.
